چکیده

The use of fungicides plays an important role in controlling plant diseases caused by Fusarium. However, the development environment friendly is considered more effective, which used secondary metabolites. This study aims to find latest alternative using Psidium Cattleianum Afzel extract, ex Sabine from collection "Eka Karya" LIPI-Bali Botanical Garden, can inhibit growth F. solani and minimum dose extract inhibiting solani. method was early screening fungi, medium preparation for fusarium analyze. found that based on 19 plants tested, cattleianum proved effective  Further testing psidium carried out looking at inhibition against fusarium. zone contained 1% treatment greater than concentrations 0.75%, 0.50% 0.25%. research continued a concentration reduction 0.20-0.005% with results showing 0.20% 0.05% resulted moderate 8 mm 9.2 mm. Therefore, it be concluded fungus Fusarium

Potential of Entomopathogenic Fungi as Biopesticides

The growing demand for reducing chemical inputs in agriculture and increased resistance to insecticides have provided great impetus to the development of alternative forms of insect-pest control. Entomopathogenic fungi are potentially the most versatile biological control agents due to their wide host range. These fungi comprise a diverse group of over 90 genera with approximately 750 species, ...

An animal model of Fusarium solani endophthalmitis.

Infection with Fusarium solani was established by injecting spores into the anterior chambers of outbred Wistar rats. The disease produced was remarkably similar to that reported in man and progressed to a fulminating endophthalmitis. Attenuation of the disease could be accomplished by repeated animal passage of the isolate.

Isolation and evaluation of bacteria and fungi as biological control agents against Rhizoctonia solani.

Rhizoctonia solani is one of the most important limiting factors for potato production and storage in Belgium and worldwide. Its management is still strongly dependent on chemical treatments. The aim of this work was to evaluate the possibility of exploiting bacteria and fungi in order to control this pathogen. Among a collection of 220 bacterial strains isolated from different organs of health...

Analysis of Phaseolus vulgaris Response to Its Association with Trichoderma harzianum (ALL-42) in the Presence or Absence of the Phytopathogenic Fungi Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium solani

The present study was carried out to evaluate the ability of Trichoderma harzianum (ALL 42-isolated from Brazilian Cerrado soil) to promote common bean growth and to modulate its metabolism and defense response in the presence or absence of the phytopathogenic fungi Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium solani using a proteomic approach. T. harzianum was able to promote common bean plants growth as s...

Cytotoxicity of Aspergillus Fungi as a Potential Infectious Threat

Moulds constitute the largest group of bacteria, prevailing both in the indoor and outdoor air. Approximately 200 000 species of moulds have been identified so far, where only a small group of around 200 may present a threat to human health. Fungi from Aspergillus species are among the moulds considered to be most pathogenic. They also constitute the group of most pathogenic moulds most frequen...
